Mr. Aslam Khaliq is presently serving as Chairman, Reckitt Benckiser Pakistan and last served as Director Corporate and Regulatory Affairs of Pakistan Tobacco Company Ltd. since 1996. He has vast experience of over 30 years of Corporate and Regulatory Environment. He serves as a Director at Islamabad Stock Exchange (Guarantee) Ltd. He has been a Non-Executive Director of JS Global Capital Limited (formerly Jahangir Siddiqui Capital Markets Ltd. (formerly known as JSCL Direct (Pvt) Limited)) since October 14, 2004. He serves as a Director of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission of Bio Sciences (Pvt) Limited, National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and also Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan (IPO-Pakistan). Since 2002, he is on the Board of Governors of Lahore University of Management Sciences.
ABID NIAZ HASAN

AbidHasan served as Operations Advisor for the World Bank in Washington. Mr. Hassan hasover 31 years of experience in Economic Development. He has worked extensively with countries in South and West Asia and the Asian Tiger economies. He has advised various Governments and managed World Bank programs related toMacro-Economic and Structural Reforms, Agriculture and Agro-Industrial Development, Financial and Banking Sector, Tax Administration, Private Sector Development, and Energy and Infrastructure Development. He has been a Non-Executive Director of Pakistan Tobacco Company Ltd. since October 29, 2007, and is on board of Hunar Foundation, a non-profit providing skills development.
SaniaNishtar is the founder of many health institutions in Pakistan—the NGO Heartfile, Pakistan’s Health Policy Forum, Heartfile Health Financing and the SaniaNishtar Health Fund. She is the author of Pakistan’s first health reform plan, first compendium of health statistics, and first national plan for NCDs. She is a member of many boards, advisory groups and task forces and a voice to catalyze change at the broader governance level in Pakistan. Internationally, she is a member of many Expert Working Groups and Task Forces of WHO, a member of the board of the International Union for Health Promotion, the Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research, the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council, the Ministerial Leadership Initiative for Global Health, the Clinton Global Initiative and is Chair of GAVI’s Evaluation Advisory Committee. She has previously led many global initiatives. She is the author of 6 books, more than 200 peer-reviewed articles and op-eds. She is the recipient of Pakistan’s Sitara e-Imtiaz, a presidential award, the European Societies Population Science Award, the Global Innovation Award and many others.
COUNTRY MANAGER, FRED HOLLOWS PAKISTAN
World-leading Australian NGO, The Fred Hollows Foundation (FHF) has nominated its Country Manager for Pakistan, Dr Rubina Gillani, as FHF's Eye Health Hero.
Dr Gillani is a medical doctor and public health specialist. Her role as Country Manager, which she started in 1998, means there is a lot of managerial work to do but Dr Gillani still sees herself as a 'field worker'.
Dr Gillani spends half of her time in the office and the other half travelling extensively throughout Pakistan. Often she needs to travel up to twelve hours to get to a remote community. During this time she does most of her observing; of women and children and of the poverty apparent throughout the country.
The Foundation's program in Pakistan, the Pakistan-Australia District Eye Care Program, through funding from AusAID (the Australian government's agency for international development) commenced in 2002. The program operates in the four provinces of Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and the North Western Frontier Province.
